The conference featured a poster exhibition showcasing diverse European projects coordinated by Spanish entities and funded under the Horizon Europe programme. Among them, a RECREATE poster was displayed as part of the HE Cluster 6: “Food, Bioeconomy, Natural Resources, Agriculture and Environment.” The poster was attended by Digu Aruchamy, the project coordinator of RECREATE. RECREATE was highlighted as a key European project promoting water resilience in water-stressed regions of Europe in the context of climate change adaptation. The project addresses this challenge by promoting Alternative Water Resources (AWR) in water management planning. The RECREATE project works in four Case Studies located in three of the most water-stressed biogeographical regions of Europe: North Holland (NL); Kalundborg (DK); Syros, South Aegean (GR); and Costa Brava (ES).
The event was organised by CDTI (the Centre for Technological Development and Innovation) in collaboration with the Spanish Ministry of Science and Innovation, the European Commission, the City Council of Oviedo and Sekuens.
The conference aimed to evaluate the first years of operation of the Horizon Europe programme in Spain while highlighting the most significant results to date. Its goal was to support Spanish entities in enhancing their participation strategies and positioning within the European research and innovation landscape.
